First day at Ferrari for Alonso :))))))))))))))):):):):):):):):):

Fernando Alonso spent his Friday getting acquainted with Ferrari, arriving at 8am for the first of several meetings at the Italian team's Maranello headquarters.

After spending time with Team Principal Stefano Domenicali, the Spaniard then joined technicians as they began discussing next season's programme and the design of the 2010 car. Alonso then looked over the wind tunnel model of next year's Ferrari and tried out seating positions.
Time was spent on the Fiorano circuit as well when Alonso took control of a red-coloured Ferrari: not this year's F1 racer but rather a 458 Italia since he remains under contract with the Renault team and its sponsors for the time being.
"Fernando wanted to feel the emotion of driving a Ferrari on the track where all the Prancing Horse's single-seaters are born and raised," the team said.
The day-long visit ended after 5pm when Alonso spent a half-hour with the Italian marque's chairman Luca di Montezemolo, who wished to personally welcome the double World Champion to his new team.

Spa-Fancrochamps HOW TO LOOSE A RACE

Fisi managed Pole on Saturday...hmmm.... Quite an achievement for a team who didn't have many takers way back in 2007 when Spyker put it on sale. I thought he must be lighter! He was, but not that much.

Race began . Kimi did exactly what I supposed him to do at La Source, the thing he did from 4th in 2008. He just had to repeat the 08 feat which he did comfortably just to jump start 4 men. Giancarlo was no slow man over the Eau Rouge but the crash at back end brought the Safety Car on. Race re-stared after few laps with the Finn closely watching the Force India. Kimi didn't miss the opportunity. Safety Car rules mean that he could not overtake the leader in the first corner (the La Source). He didn't. But there was no stopping after that. He kept his car just behind the leader's. To say in other words he was placing his car right at the sweet spot which would give him THE golden opportunity to overtake him at will.
Near the Eau Rouge, Kimi came on to the gear box of Force India in a very casual manner, hit the KERS button and cruised away leaving Fisichella to eat up all the dust....
Job done!!
After that Fisichella kept Kimi within hunting limits, which proved he was nowhere slower that the red car. Apart from the tires in the first stint especially, both drivers were on the same strategies too. And Fisi just didn't allowed Kimi to open the gap. With just 9 laps to go, difference between the two was .621 secs. To quote the TV commentator at that time, "Kimi has been trying 2 open the gap over that Force India, but so far he has failed to do so."
Even at the post-race conference Fisi said, "We were more quick the Kimi. At the restart he came so close that he could use the KERS button to his advantage. This was the race we could have won."

Having followed Giancalro from his old days in Ranault , where he always was in shodaw of Fernando, and the way he couldn't control his tears on podium for a friend who lost his life the last day, I was quite moved when he took the pole in the qualifying on Saturday at Belgium. In the race too he didn't let Kimi rest inspite of conceeding lead to the latter. He drove very beautifully apart from one mistake. That costed him victory. I fear that a dying career as of his will give him more chances like one he got in Spa this year. The capabilities and resources of his team are well known.

Anyways thanks a lot Fisi and congratulations from India for a feat well achieved...
I hope the good run continues!!:)

(Italians, and especially Montezemelo, are happy anyhow. A native car and a native driver at podium!! What more?? ;) :):):))

Michael Returns

Well Massa crashed in Hungarian qualifying. A spring from the infront Brawn car of Barrichello hit him on his helmet and he crashed. He got his kull fractured and is out of action for period indefinite.

With Massa out of action due to the injuries and making a strong recovery, the rumour mill had been rife with speculation as to who would take over the F60 cockpit alongside Kimi Raikkonen as the Brazilian recuperates.
From the very first day there were speculations that Michael might return but Michael himself and Wili Weber downplayed such hearsays Luca Badoer and Marc Gene, being the test drivers, were al;so speculated to drive. But then came the confirmation that yes! the maestro will return. Ferrari announced Wednesday evening that Michael Schumacher is to stand in for the injured Felipe Massa at the forthcoming GP in Valencia and beyond.

"Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro intends to put Michael Schumacher in Felipe Massa's car until the Brazilian driver will be able to race again," the team stated.

"Michael Schumacher said he is ready and over the next few days will undertake a specific training programme at the end of which confirmation will be given of his participation in the championship with effect from the European Grand Prix on the 23rd of August."

Jenson Button

Button is eating up the rocord books. I fear if is so near to The F1 Greats :(
That should'nt happen. This is a very very weak F1. Not at a full force.

At Silverstone last week, he was quite ordinary.
